I- Meghan Markle Believes
Be able to delegate, because there are some things that you just can't do by yourself.
At the end of the day, if the guy is going to write the girl a letter, whether it's chicken scratch or scribble or looks like a doctor's note, if he takes the time to put pen to paper and not type something, there's something so incredibly romantic and beautiful about that.
Reflecting on where I came from helps me to appreciate and balance what I have now.
Who you are as a person will only be amplified once you are 'famous,' so if you had a good heart, then I would imagine you'll have the same good heart but the means to do even more with it.
Make a choice: continue living your life feeling muddled in this abyss of self-misunderstanding, or you find your identity independent of it. You push for color-blind casting; you draw your own box. You introduce yourself as who you are, not what color your parents happen to be.
It's really important that young women be reminded that their involvement matters and that their voice is heard. Even if it feels like it's small, it really can make an impact.
I'm really big on day dates. If you go for a stroll, have a picnic or lunch with a glass of wine - it doesn't get better than that.
When I'm traveling, I won't miss an opportunity to try great pasta.
Just as black and white, when mixed, make grey, in many ways that's what it did to my self-identity: it created a murky area of who I was, a haze around how people connected with me. I was grey. And who wants to be this indifferent color, devoid of depth and stuck in the middle? I certainly didn't.
I dream pretty big, but truly had no idea my life could be this awesome. I am the luckiest girl in the world, without question!
It's really attractive if a man has a skill that you want to improve in yourself. If you can learn from someone, then that's sexy.
I don't sit around thinking about my titles and roles; I just do what feels right.
Traveling gives you some perspective of what the rest of the world is like. I think that having the courage to step out of the norm is the most important thing.
I was not a girl who grew up buying $100 candles. I was the girl who ran out of gas on her way to an audition.
When I was 11, I saw this ad for dish soap powder that said, ' Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans.' I was so angry. I couldn't understand why it didn't say men as well.
I've had dates at the nicest restaurants, but when you leave, you're starving, and the best part of the date is having a slice of pizza and a couple of drinks on the way home. I think it's important to be able to roll with the punches and enjoy every minute of it.
Once you develop a comfort level with someone, that translates on camera.
Food makes travel so exceptional, because you get to taste what it's actually supposed to taste like. To eat the real Pad Thai or finally have a proper curry is something pretty amazing.
Barcelona is one of the best cities in the world. I love it there. I love Big Sur. It's stunning and you get a therapeutic experience there. The drive up the coast is one of the most beautiful I've ever done. Also, Hong Kong. I could easily live there!
I have always loved watermelon and relish any opportunity to eat it, whether plain or diced up with feta and mint and tossed with a little olive oil. It makes me think of summertime. On set and at home, I try to always have a container of watermelon sprinkled with cinnamon because it elevates the flavor just a notch and makes it feel special.
Kindness is the No. 1 quality I look for in a man. You can see in how he treats anyone - from a CEO to a housekeeper - and it's a reflection of how nice a guy is. Funniness and confidence come after that... When a guy approaches me, it's fantastic if he can make me laugh.
I love the opportunity to get properly dressed up. I've worn three Lanvin dresses, and they've all been a dream. They're so well made, with the most beautiful craftsmanship. I don't tend to go with things that are ornate - just beautifully made pieces and some classic jewelry. Let the work speak for itself. I love that.
II-Prince Harry Believes
I've longed for kids since I was very, very young. And so... I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job.
Conversations with my mother, father, my grandparents, as I've grown up have obviously driven me towards wanting to try and make a difference as much as possible.
You can imagine the kind of dinner parties I had to go to at a young age... pretty dull.
There's a lot of times that both myself and my brother wish, obviously, that we were just completely normal.
Anyone who says they don't enjoy the Army is mad - you can spend a week hating it and the next week it could be the best thing in the world and the best job you could ever, ever wish for. It has so much to offer.
Once you're in the military, she means a lot more to you than just a grandmother. She is the queen. And then you suddenly, it's like start realizing, you know, wow, this is quite a big deal. And then you get goose bumps and then the rest of it.
For me personally, as I said, I want to serve my country. I've done it once, and I'm still in the army, I feel as though I should get the opportunity to do it again.
To be honest dinner conversations was the worst bit about being a child and listening to the boring people around me.
I have witnessed first-hand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women in their journey of recovery. The Invictus Games will focus on what they can achieve post injury and celebrate their fighting spirit, through an inclusive sporting competition that recognizes the sacrifice they have made. I am extremely proud that we are bringing an event like this to the UK for the first time and believe it can have a long lasting impact on the well-being of those who have served their nations so bravely.
You've got to give something back. You can't just sit there.
This is not just about women. We men need to recognize the part we play, too. Real men treat women with the dignity and respect they deserve.
I'm very sorry if I offended anybody. I'd like to put it in the past now. What's done is done. I regret it.
I suppose it is one time when you can really use your name to raise money. And if I am going to use it for anything, what more of a better opportunity (than) to use it here.
I don't know how well this would get on, but I'd probably live in Africa...as a job, it would probably be a safari guide.
I've served my country.
There’s no way I’m going to put myself through Sandhurst and then sit on my arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country.
I do enjoy running down a ditch full of mud, firing bullets. It’s the way I am. I love it.
It's very nice to be a sort of normal person for once; I think it's about as normal as I'm going to get.
For me personally, as I said, I want to serve my country. I've done it once, and I'm still in the army, I feel as though I should get the opportunity to do it again.
III - Megan about Harry
We're two people who are really happy and in love.
&nb
sp; We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people's perception. Nothing about me changed. I'm still the same person that I am, and I've never defined myself by my relationship.
It has its challenges, and it comes in waves — some days it can feel more challenging than others. And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed. But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend's support. I don't read any press. I haven't even read press for Suits. The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise.
It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee . . . As a matter of fact, I could barely let [him] finish proposing, like, 'Can I say yes now?!'
It was definitely a set-up, it was a blind date . . . Because I'm from the States, you don't grow up with the same kind of understanding of the royal family, and so while I now understand very clearly there's a global interest there, I didn't know much about him. So the only thing that I had asked her [the mutual friend] was 'Is he nice?' because if he wasn't kind, it didn't seem like it would make sense.
Of course it's disheartening. It's a shame that that is the climate in this world, to focus that much on that, to be discriminatory in that sense. I think, you know, at the end of the day, I'm really just proud of who I am and where I've come from and we have never put any focus on that. We've just focused on who we are as a couple. And so when you take all those extra layers away and all of that noise, I think it makes it really easy to just enjoy being together.
IV - Harry about Megan
This beautiful woman just literally tripped and fell into my life.
We had two dates in London last July, and it was I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana, and we camped out with each other under the stars.
The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly is confirmation to me that all the stars are aligned.
It was exciting! I'd been seeing her for a period of time when I literally didn't tell anybody at all, and then William was longing to meet her, and so was Catherine. They're our neighbors, so we've managed to get that in quite a few times now . . . Catherine's been absolutely amazing, as has William, as well, you know, a fantastic support.
The corgis took to [her] straight away . . . I spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one walks in, absolutely nothing!
They'd be thick as thieves, without question. And she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me.
(I knew Meghan was "the one") The very first time we met.
